Yamabe & Horn Engineering, Inc., is a professional service civil engineering and land surveying firm, established and incorporated in November 1979. Founders Ronald Yamabe and Gary Horn continue to serve our clients in the greater Central Valley of California. Philip Romero, Brandon Broussard and David Horn joined Gary Horn to begin serving the company as partners in October of 2004.

Yamabe and Horn Engineering, Inc. provides a comprehensive range of engineering services in the planning, design and construction phases of public works and land development projects.

The firm is the contract City Engineer for the cities of Kerman, San Joaquin, Orange Cove and Sanger. In this capacity, our firm performs all day-to-day engineering services and serves as project manager, design engineer, contract administrator and construction inspector for all public works projects.

The principals of the firm are Gary Horn, Philip Romero, Brandon Broussard and David Horn. Yamabe & Horn Engineering Inc. is a professional service civil engineering and land surveying firm established and incorporated by Ronald Yamabe and Gary Horn in November 1979. Yamabe brought more than 10 years' experience in municipal engineering and Horn more than five years' experience in private sector engineering to their own company, a combination that proved itself integral to the continued success of the firm.

Although the principals wore overcoats in the office during their first winter in business to economize on the heating bill, 33 years after Yamabe and Horn opened for business the firm grew from a two-man office to a staff of 26 employees, including licensed civil engineers, licensed land surveyors, a LEED certified Planner, designers, CAD operators, survey crew members and clerical staff.

In 2009, the company moved it's office into a new 12,000SF corporate building located near Shields and Fowler. The location was designed specifically to provide a more efficient workplace for the staff.

Throughout the years, Yamabe and Horn has sought to maintain a client-centered approach to our business, focusing on delivering high quality work product with exceptional customer service standards. Everything we do is based around this concept, including the sizing of our company.

We believe our status as a "mid-sized" firm provides us with greater capabilities and available resources than smaller firms, but allows for greater principal involvement and oversight than might be available in larger firms.

Our principals develop the projects from the outset, selecting project managers and establishing the project parameters and controls. As the project continues, they maintain close involovement and client contact to ensure successful exectution and delivery of the project in a manner consistent with the expectations and desires of the client that were established at the project's beginning.

Fri, 02 Dec 2011
Site grading has begun on a new solar project for a South Valley agri-business.  Y&H helped the solar company with the site surveying, grading design, SWPPP and construction staking.

We look forward to seeing the post mounted solar panels installed and the local agri-business being able to benefit from solar power.
